I’m seriously out of my mind for staying away for so long
. I’m pretty emotional so I won’t go on about how terrible I feel for being MIA, but just know that I don’t feel great about it but, moving on…
Let me at least update you on what’s been going on. A lot of behind the scenes stuff has been happening. I’m so caught up in the moment that I haven’t taken the time to really document everything.
I’ve joined a new team #TeamPhoenix, doesn’t that name have a kind of comic book vibe to it? We’re not quite action figures but that’s all in perspective, you be the judge. Lisa Marie Phoenix of Phoenix Aficionado has brought be on board to help her out with her Digital Marketing company. We’ve been brainstorming and strategizing through the social media scene together. It’s been a very interesting journey, but I am really enjoying it, and Lisa is a brilliant God send. I’ve learned so much from her it has by far been the best professional relationship I’ve had in all my working experiences.
Ms. Aficionado and I
How time flies, this picture was taken this past fall. We had no idea what was in store, but this was the start of a great friendship.
I’ve joined a band! I’m singing background for The Get Down. We call the genre Funky, Rockin, Soul-Hop that name should help you to hear the sound even before you actually hear it. Getting on stage and rocking out with them has been an awesome experience so far. I’m learning a lot from each member of the band. They are all talented musicians and each of them uniquely different.
Meet the Band…
Dave, Mike, Romy, John, Pete and Dan

Dave Zerio is our drummer. He’s the quirky, sometimes awkward, but always sweet and ridiculously talented guy in the band. Michael Trella is the chill and super cool guitar player. You can’t expect anything less than super cool from a guitar player, it’s kind of a given. Up next is yours truly, moi, I’m the girl in the crew bringing in balance and estrogen and from time to time a little “sweet soul”. Johnny Task Burgos is the man of the hour, our lead singer, a soulful cat who’s voice and sound time traveled from the 70′s to entertain us now in 2013. Pete O’Neill is the base guitar player, he coincidentally is also our base, he makes sure we stay in communication and are on the same page. Did I just make him sound like the dad? Lastly is Dan Cherouny. Danny is the our saxophonist, he brings that jazz and really brings it. I’m a sucker for a horn section so this next statement is bias but he’s my favorite.
In a nutshell that’s the update, I didn’t want to keep my homies out of the loop so I had to share.
Talk to you again soon,
Romy

I love this post and love working with you!
Oh you know it! You are one of a kind Lisa. Thank you
